When will I learn...

That even if I am just knitting or crocheting a swatch I MUST ball up a skein before using it.

Because if I don't, I'll end up with this....

I got the yarn from a small company in Stittsville that recycles yarn from old sweaters. They were called Fine Fibre Finds. Sadly I can't find them online anymore so I hope they are still around.

Yay! Welcome back. I've missed you. :)

The problem with knitters is we want to be KNITTING, not winding yarn in to balls. But sadly it really does need to be done... I feel your pain.

Awww, thanks Amber. :) I'm glad to be back.

Hi Irma, the empathy is much appreciated. Think of me as I'm going cross-eyed tonight as I (hopefully) finish dealing with that yarn mess!

I should learn from this too ... I crochet, and when I want to make something, I just do *not* want to spend any time winding yarn. But the end is always the same, and it involves a mess of yarn and two evil cats. You can imagine the rest ;-O
