H...Thanks TechChik! That makes me feel better. :)

Hope you like the soup - I love it because as well as using up the tomatoes, it is so easy to make. It doesn't even need stock (only water) because the tomatoes and garlic have so much flavour. Enjoy!Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01456879031634848302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-687465013017827111.post-83822484096194358812009-09-26T09:02:38.772-04:002009-09-26T09:02:38.772-04:00Both my potatoes and peppers did badly this year t...Both my potatoes and peppers did badly this year too. I visited Upper Canada Village a few weeks ago, and they confirmed - it's been a lousy year for the solanaceae family.

I love the roast tomato/garlic soup idea - I have a bunch of grape tomatoes that I've been trying to find a use for. Maybe Scout is right!

Hey Scout! Could be it was a bad year, although it couldn't have been lack of water we were inundated here in Ottawa - maybe lack of sunshine?Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01456879031634848302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-687465013017827111.post-19766151056936453602009-09-24T19:33:25.030-04:002009-09-24T19:33:25.030-04:00Welcome back :)

(I'd say it was probably less than a kilo total, from four plants!) I haven't tried the tower method, but I will look into it for next year.Irmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07187488217492892133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-687465013017827111.post-22995508013704865552009-09-24T07:00:17.902-04:002009-09-24T07:00:17.902-04:00Hi there!
